Mates since childhood, Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty pair up to open a pop-up caff on Southend pier. They also take to the continent to pit the best of British food against Europe’s finest. There’s some tasty cooking from Jamie, a bit of foodie science from Jimmy, and a lot of laughs with some special friends, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Gary Barlow, Alan Carr and Jonathan Ross. Throughout the series, Jamie and Jimmy put their reputations on the line as they head off to the continent in their trusty Ford Capri to take on the best that Europe’s cuisines have to offer. Because good food is worth fighting for.
Will appears in episode 3 (20th December) in which Jamie & Jimmy take on the Italians in a dessert showdown. The Italians are mad about desserts, and from tiramisu and panna cotta to ice cream they’ve turned the humble pud into an art form. However, firstly helping Jamie & Jimmy to develop twists on classic British puds back in Essex, Will and the rest of the team, known as The Cake Army (including Ed Loftus (Barbecoa Head Pastry Chef), Charlie Harry (Lick Me I’m Delicious Ice Creams), Jemma Wilson (Cupcakes & Doilies) and Jamie’s Mum, Sally) join them on a trip to Italy where they go head to head with a major Italian pastry chef at a lavish Italian wedding banquet.
Will says of his involvement with the episode “We had such an amazing time, taking on the Italian’s at their own game and boy do we take the Good British fight to them! They may have their fancy cream desserts but we have amazing puds full of indulgence, nostalgia and history worthy of fighting for!”
Jamie can barely contain his excitement about Food Fight Club: “It’s set up to be the most exciting, interesting and funny cooking show ever to be shown on TV.”
